About Forest Schools

The Forest School ethos is rooted in the belief that spending time outdoors, amongst nature, brings many benefits to children. The sessions are based on play and exploration, with hands-on activities and sometimes supervised use of tools. By focusing on the individual child we aim to build confidence and self-esteem. The sessions will be fun and active.

Mrs Wells, runs our Forest School sessions. She is a Level 3 Forest School Leader, as well as teaching in Badgers Class. 

Sessions at Swing Gate

Each class will have two sessions per term. We use the outdoor classroom area of the playground and will be out whatever the weather! Children will need to bring in a warm, waterproof coat and wellies on their Forest School day.
